ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a seasoned and passionate engineer interested in joining our early-stage venture as full-time backend developer. In this role, you will build and maintain our product’s backend services, APIs, and deployment, for our global health tech mobile platform.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Continuous Integration & Delivery (CI/CD): Design, build, and optimize continuous delivery pipelines, leveraging Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)

• Automation & Tooling: Develop and maintain automation scripts, tools, and self-documenting systems

• Operations & Reliability: Proactively monitor and manage infrastructure health, troubleshooting issues as they arise.

• Security & Compliance: Strengthen our robust security posture by managing user access controls, conducting regular penetration testing, and designing disaster recovery strategies.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

Key Technical Expertise:

• Kubernetes & Container Orchestration:

  • Deep experience with Kubernetes and proven ability to build and maintain scalable, resilient infrastructure using Kubernetes.

• CI/CD & Infrastructure Automation:

  • CI/CD: Proven experience in designing and implementing continuous integration and delivery pipelines.

  • IaC & Cloud: Strong experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or Pulumi, specifically on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

  • Containerization: Expertise with Docker and container lifecycle management.

• Monitoring & Logging:

  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack,...).

• Programming & Scripting:

  • Proficiency in high-level programming languages such as Go, Python.

  • Experience with automation and scripting to optimize DevOps workflows.

• Version Control & CI Systems:

  • Strong proficiency in Git (Gitflow experience is a plus).

  • Familiarity with CI systems like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Industry Experience:

  • 5-9 years of hands-on experience in DevOps or related fields.

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced startup environment, with a focus on quick iterations, continuous deployment, and test-driven development.

• Communication Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills in English (B1+ level or higher, both written and spoken).

  • Fluency in Vietnamese is a plus.

• Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving abilities, proactive attitude, and a continuous learning mindset.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

We have 2 independent yet synergic business models:

1. Pharmaceutical companies: Elfie's free application is sponsored by pharmaceutical companies, who need to drive treatment adherence and access anonymized real-world data. Pharmaceutical companies cover our company operational costs and the promotion of the application.
2. Insurers and employers: Elfie premium version (aka ElfieWorks) is an employee health program sponsored by employers and insurers. These companies need employees to stay in good health and engaged to increase productivity and keep ever-increasing healthcare costs under control. ElfieWorks is designed and distributed in partnership with a global insurance broker and partner insurers.
