What You’ll Do

DevOps Strategy & Leadership

• Act as the primary owner of infrastructure and platform decisions

• Mentor and guide engineers while remaining hands-on

• Support hiring and onboarding of DevOps / Platform engineers

• Drive engineering standards and best practices across the platform

Infrastructure Architecture & Scalability

• Design and operate a multi-region cloud infrastructure ensuring strict data residency compliance

• Architect and maintain Kubernetes-based platforms across cloud environments

• Design systems where each region operates independently while maintaining global consistency where needed

• Build secure and scalable networking (VPC, private networking, IAM, TLS, secrets management)

CI/CD & Automation Excellence

• Design and improve CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows for reliable deployments

• Drive automation to reduce manual operations and improve developer productivity

• Build internal tooling to support platform scalability and maintainability

Reliability, Security & Compliance

• Ensure high availability within each region (multi-zone, redundancy, failover within region)

• Build and maintain observability (metrics, logs, tracing, alerting)

• Define and improve incident response and postmortem practices

• Integrate and maintain security scanning tools within CI/CD pipelines (e.g., SonarQube, Trivy, MobSF)

• Implement DevSecOps practices including vulnerability scanning, dependency scanning, and container/image security

• Work closely with security teams to maintain compliance (SOC2, ISO 27001, healthcare-related standards)

• Ensure secure handling of sensitive data (PHI), including access control, encryption, and auditability

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

• Continuously evaluate emerging DevOps, Cloud, and Platform technologies, recommending strategic improvements.

• Drive essential infrastructure modernization and platform engineering initiatives.

• Optimize cloud cost management and enhance infrastructure resource efficiency.

What You’ll Need

Must have

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps / Cloud / Platform Engineering

• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments

• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or similar)

• Experience designing and operating distributed systems

• Solid understanding of networking (VPC, load balancing, security, DNS)

• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and automation systems

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar)

• Experience operating production systems with high availability requirements

Nice to Have (Highly Valuable)

• Experience with multi-region systems and data residency constraints

• Experience working with sensitive data (healthcare, fintech, etc.)

• Experience with compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, HDS, etc.)

• Experience with GitOps tools (FluxCD, ArgoCD)

• Experience in multi-cloud environments

• Experience mentoring or leading engineers
