About Elfie
Elfie is a global digital health platform used by doctors and patients before, during, and after their medical consultations. Our software helps medical teams get more done and teaches patients how to better manage their chronic diseases.
We are currently active in over 30 countries, and more than 1.6 million patients, doctors, and health authorities love using Elfie because it is simple and packed with helpful features. Best of all, Elfie is completely free for everyone to use.
How this role supports Elfie's mission:
Starting first at the Centre Anti-Diabétique d'Abidjan (INSP), this role helps modernize hospitals in Ivory Coast by moving paper patient files to computers and training medical staff on our new software, ElfieCare.
What You’ll Do
1. Moving files to computers
Type and speak data: You will take a patient’s paper history and type it (or use voice-to-text) directly into the ElfieCare software.
Hit your daily goal: This is a standard 40-hour workweek (Monday to Friday), and your main target is to accurately move 100 patient files per day.
Double-check your work: You need to look over every single file before saving it to make sure absolutely nothing is missing. Accuracy is everything here.
2. Teaching and helping the medical team
Show them the ropes: You will personally train doctors, nurses, and hospital staff on how to use ElfieCare.
Fix daily tech hiccups: When a doctor or nurse gets stuck or faces a glitch, you’ll be right there to help them out. If it’s a bigger technical issue, you’ll pass it along to our tech support team.
3. Keeping things organized
Follow the steps: You'll use Elfie’s standard steps for entering data so everything stays consistent.
Keep your manager in the loop: At the end of every day, you’ll give your Project Manager a quick update and let them know if anything is blocking you from getting your work done.
Protect patient privacy: Patient information is deeply personal. You must keep everything you see and hear completely confidential, just like a doctor or nurse would.
What We Are Looking For
The Basics (Hard Skills)
Clinic software experience: You have worked in a hospital or clinic before and know how to navigate digital medical records or clinic software.
Comfort with medical terms: You know how to read a patient’s file and understand basic medical vocabulary.
The Right Attitude (Soft Skills)
An eye for detail: You genuinely care about getting things right and notice when a small detail is missing.
The focus to keep going: Typing 100 files a day is a big task and it can get repetitive. You need the mental focus to stay productive and accurate without getting easily distracted.
A patient and warm personality: Medical teams and patients are often busy, stressed, and not necessarily experts in new technologies. You must be warm, easy to talk to, and able to explain things in simple, everyday language. Staying polite, patient, and convincing ensures that even the busiest doctors feel comfortable learning the software.
