About The Role
This role will build and scale robust data infrastructure to seamlessly ingest, process, and model real-world health data across consumer and B2B platforms. Ensure high data quality, integrity, and compliance, enabling accurate clinical insights and trustworthy partner reporting and empower proprietary AI engines and product analytics teams with fresh, governed data feeds to drive personalized user engagement and measurable health outcomes.
What You’ll Do
Data Integration & Engineering
Build and maintain data pipelines connecting operational databases (Firestore, PostgreSQL), mobile apps, WhatsApp, and third-party tools (Adjust, CleverTap) to unified data models.
Design scalable data models for efficient business and product consumption.
Adapt analytics pipelines for new product features and updates.
Maintain partner integration APIs (hospitals, pharmacies, insurers).
Implement cost-effective analytics pipelines and storage on GCP.
Data Governance & Quality
Ensure consistency between operational and analytical data.
Develop governance guidelines to help engineering create maintainable data structures.
Keep data glossaries, schemas, and naming conventions up to date.
Implement automated tests to ensure upstream data quality.
Resolve tracking inconsistencies to ensure accurate product data.
Ensure deployability using version control and automation tools.
Client & Stakeholder Support
Liaise with product and engineering teams to ensure operational data accuracy in analytics systems.
Help product teams design and maintain event tagging for continuous product improvement.
Support AI product teams (AI Coach, Elfie IO) with governed, fresh data feeds.
Data Policy & Security
Maintain strong knowledge of data compliance and policies.
Partner with Security and Compliance to meet regulatory and industry standards.
Implement data security best practices, including anonymization and k-anonymity thresholds for partner exports.
What You’ll Need
General requirements
5+ years of experience in a Data Engineer role or relevant.
Excellent communication skills in English: clear, synthetic, precise, engaging.
Excellent business-value mindset: prioritise and communicate the business value of each analysis in an intelligible manner for non-expert stakeholders.
Focused on details while able to understand the overall picture and the meaning of consolidated data.
Experience working across multiple cultures, countries, and ways of working.
Technical requirements
Expert in SQL, including complex queries in an OLAP engine (ClickHouse, BigQuery, or similar).
Expert in any DataFrame API framework - Polars (most preferred), Pandas, Spark, PyArrow …
Proven experience building streaming and batch processing data pipelines.
Proven experience in data modelling for both SQL and NoSQL databases.
Experience with dbt for transformation (staging, incremental models, testing).
Experience with at least one orchestration tool (Dagster, Airflow, Prefect).
Familiar with GCP data solutions: BigQuery, Firestore, Looker (Data Studio), GA, IAM.
Python for pipeline scripting, data validation, and tooling.
